Day 53: Take a baby for a walk in the park

Sticking with the baby theme, today’s new thing was to take the baby for a walk in a park. To avoid confusion: it’s not my baby but rather a visitor from across the North Sea.

A walk in the park is new? Seriously?

Yes, it’s true. While I had taken babies for walks before, it had never been in a park. So I headed off with my friends and their little angel to Crystal Palace, mistiming the arrival at the train station. This meant we have spent more time travelling than at the park, given the baby’s limited waking time. It was a nice sunny day for change, so even waiting at a station wasn’t really much of a chore.

The other fun thing is that the photo makes it look like I’m sort of sketchy character running off with a baby. Which isn’t what I was doing, I promise.

Day 51: Baby in the house

The new thing for today is having a baby in the in the house. A few things went wrong with this post, though.

Oops, I’m an idiot

  1. I didn’t think about the title properly, it is possible for it be interpreted incorrectly.
  2. More people are reading this than I thought, I’ve added external analytics and the numbers are higher than the WordPress counters are
  3. In the process of uploading, the text somehow went missing
  4. I’ve been too busy to do updates this week (although I have been doing new things, don’t worry)

The above combined to create some confusion and led to a number of ‘I believe congratulations are in order’ email. I’m sorry if the combination of events above led people to believe something incorrect. But thank you for the congratulations, and who knows, maybe one day I will be posting about my baby!

The project

Anyway, back to the project. I really had never had a baby stay in my house. It’s interesting, as there is a whole lot more ‘stuff’ required than I’d imagine. And I’ve got a whole lot more respect for people who have to work with small babies. They need a lotĀ of attention. If they happen to have a bad night’s sleep, you will too.
